Graduate and student careers app Debut raises £1.7M in second seed round
Graduate and student careers app Debut, which last raised £500k in March 2016, has announced a second successful seed round this week. Debut, which allows users to find job postings aimed at graduates and students, and offers a community of users various other features demanded by the student market.
Less than a year since their last seed round, this represents a show of confidence in their business model and goals, and a renewal of faith in the graduate market. Founded and based in London, Debut has already secured a number of key relationships with significant international employers such as EY, Microsoft, and Barclays – and this additional investment will undoubtedly help them solidify their position in the market.
Although the graduate recruitment market tends to be dominated by a relatively small number of ‘Top Employers’ in each subject industry, Debut has already made great steps towards securing partnerships with numerous top employers and it is clear that they are adding real value for their users.
The graduate market is a significant and growing resource both in the United Kingdom and internationally, with students and graduates becoming increasingly immersed in technology with each successive generation. We have no doubt that offering a technological solution for graduate recruitment will be well received by the student market and can’t wait to see where Debut go from here onwards.
